New Team Member Onboarding
Welcome to Meridian! This checklist ensures every new team member has a smooth first 30 days. It's split into sections for IT, HR, and the hiring manager.
Before Day 1 โ HR & IT
- โ Send offer letter and employment contract
- โ Set up Google Workspace account (firstname.lastname@meridianpay.io)
- โ Add to Slack workspace and relevant channels (#general, #team-standup, role-specific)
- โ Order equipment โ MacBook Pro 14" + accessories
- โ Set up Linear account and assign to correct team
- โ Send welcome package (shipped or digital for remote)
- โ Add to payroll (Gusto) and benefits enrollment
Day 1
- 1.Welcome call with Alex Chen (30 min) โ company story, mission, culture
- 2.IT setup session with Marcus Johnson โ accounts, VPN, security keys
- 3.Team introduction in #general Slack
- 4.Read employee handbook (v2) โ link in Google Drive
- 5.Set up 1:1s with all direct collaborators
Week 1 โ Getting Up to Speed
- โ Complete security training (Drata platform, ~45 min)
- โ Review Q3 OKRs and understand team goals
- โ Shadow 3 customer calls (coordinate with Alex or sales team)
- โ Read product PRDs for current sprint
- โ Attend weekly standup (Monday 9am PT)
- โ 30-day goals defined with manager
30-Day Check-In
